We are a small architectural practice based in the Blackdown Hills to the south of Taunton.

Whilst the practice is newly established we have spent nearly thirty years producing thoughtful buildings.

As you will see on the projects page of this site we do not work on the basis of a 'house style,’ our buildings are designed to suit their settings and our clients’ needs and desires. Our aim is to produce buildings that are beautiful, durable and practical. The unifying thread running through all of our projects is a concern for making. Each building is carefully designed and detailed to ensure that that not only are they beautiful at the beginning of their lives but will remain so in the future, mellowing rather than weathering. In general we prefer to use traditional materials but in an innovative way.

Very few of the projects that we work on are straight forward. Many have to overcome complex Planning issues, others present design challenges - matching twenty first century living to old buildings, dealing with awkward urban sites or making the best possible use of limited space. In spite of this we have a very good track record of steering them through to a successful conclusion.

Each project and each client is different. We have a very flexible approach and we are happy to tailor the service we provide to suit the circumstances, doing as much or as little as needed.
